Apparently, in the 1990 World Cup, England #10 Gary Lineker accidentally pooped himself trying to make a tackle in the Three Lions first game. As they say: The poo smell is temporary, class is permanent.

My friends, in an effort to continue to demonstrate why footy rules, I present to you…exhibit A:

Running down a Ref in your car

What would happen in the US if T.O. was upset at a ref and tried to drive over him in his car? I really don’t know. In the UK, it’s just business as usual though! HA!

Welp, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I would like to rekindle the fire of bloggish footy banter by posting once again on the mighty American Football. So, for starters I’m attempting to post this totally brutal video of a season ending injury for Walter Samuel, defender of the team I would like to merely refer to as “The Champions” (feel free to sing it in a choral kind of way like the heineken commericals). If I can’t post this video, well, then I guess you’ll just have to look it up on YouTube to satisfy your undying curiosity about how violently horrible it is to watch this guys leg bend the wrong way.

Been spoiled recently with blogs tackling an in-depth tactical analysis of footy matches (zonalmarking.net in particular)… and just discovered a new blog today, Talking About Football.

The first article to catch my attention? A tremendous analysis of how Benitex plans to (and is beginning to) transform Inter from Mourinho’s style to his own. If you want a tactical treat, check it out.
